Are your tarps completely waterproof?

Yes! All our tarps and covers are completely waterproof! This has been tested through a laboratory in Australia and we are proud to confidently offer 100% waterproof products.

How strong are your eyelets?

The eyelets on our tarp are ultrasonically welded and double reinforced to provide extra strength! We have done eyelets strength testing to give you an idea of just how much load/strain our eyelets can take. Check these out under the Eyelet Test Video tab.

How do your products stand against the sun?

We are so confident on our product performance that we offer you a 3 Year Warranty against any UV degradation. Our products love the sun! and once again, we back our claims with testing. Our tarp and cover materials have been thoroughly tested against rapid UV degeneration and have outlasted and outperformed other common tarps/covers.

How do I find the right tarp for my application?

We have a warehouse located at 13 Atlantic Drive in Keysborough. You can come in person and purchase your products directly from our warehouse. We have card payment facilities available for you. Please note opening hours are between 10am – 5pm, Mon – Fri.

ARK Roof Tarps are made from 200 GSM XF Film. This specialized Swiss-patented film ensures exceptional strength, durability, and reliability. UV Resistant - 3 Year Guarantee

ARK Roof Tarps offer excellent UV resistance and come with a 3-year UV guarantee. Designed for extended outdoor use, they will not peel, crack, or disintegrate under harsh sunlight, making them ideal for Australia's extreme weather conditions.

Dual Colour

ARK Roof Tarps are black on one side and silver on the other side. Both sides are UV protected and can be used facing the sun. Silver side reflects heat and black side absorbs heat.

Ultrasonic Welded Eyelets

ARK Tarps XF Film	Constructed from multiple cross-laminated layers with UV inhibitors and waterproofing embedded in the raw material. Layers are laminated in opposing directions, enhancing cross-directional strength and resistance to tearing.
Other woven tarps	Made by weaving polyethylene or polypropylene threads in a pattern, then coated with a thin layer of poly material for added strength. Coatings are often thin and may wear off over time.
Canvas	Woven from thick natural cotton or synthetic polyester fibers in a tight weave; often treated with wax or waterproofing agents to resist water and UV exposure.
PVC	Produced from synthetic PVC (polyvinyl chloride) layers laminated over a woven polyester scrim. The PVC is coated and heat-sealed or welded for waterproofing, though high temperatures can affect flexibility and longevity.
#	ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS
ARK Tarps XF Film	Fully recyclable as made from virgin plastic material, with a focus on UV resistance to prolong lifespan and reduce frequency of replacement.
Other woven tarps	Typically, non-recyclable; coatings may degrade faster, requiring more frequent replacement.
Canvas	Biodegradable if untreated, but typically treated canvas is less eco-friendly due to waterproofing chemicals.
PVC	High environmental impact from PVC production; often non-recyclable and may release chemicals upon disposal.

Tips & Tricks

When using the tarp as a suspended cover we highly recommend that you do the following:

Ensure that all the eyelets are secured to distribute the load on the tarp evenly
Rope is applied across the top of the tarp to prevent the tarp from becoming a parachute against the wind. In doing so tie a rope to every eyelet, passing it over the tarpaulin to the opposite eyelet tying the rope slightly shorter than the tarpaulin at that eyelet
Allow for water to run off from the tarp and not pool in the middle. The water will not cause any leaks, but the pooling will add extra weight and strain to the eyelets. Once the tarp has been set up, you can pour some water over it to ensure that there is enough slope provided for the water to run off
